Happy New Year 2012

I had a lot of outdated post.. but going to note this down first before i forgot..

Last year 2011, was a challenging year for me.. a big changes for my family .. we migrated to Australia ... Went through a lot of uncertain circumstances, which is really tough.. phew~ but is already over.. is another new year now.

From a working mom converted to become a full time housewife. This is totally a huge changes for me, especially mentally. I used to have lots of friends/colleagues to chat with during my day-to-day activities, but now only to my own family members, my kids + husband (especially during school holidays). I met some new friends, mostly my son's classmates' parent ... chat while waiting for the kids at school... Luckily, I still can online to catch some chats with my friends over msn/yahoo during some 'gap's between my busy routine jobs . Well, I have to say, I still not really adjusting myself with this new role. Sometimes really felt very emotional and no direction. I hope on this new year i can make some changes to my daily jobs ...erm.. still in the very initial stage of planning..

Facing my partner everyday ... at the very beginning of our stays over here, facing a lot of uncertain situations caused a lot of conflicts and argument with my husband, which came to a stage that I am speechless to him and had a second thought of our marriage. Always, kids come first.. our existing life had stable, relationship had improved ..

I was lucky that my mom with me when we first came to aus. She did help me a lot as we need to settle a lot of stuffs, is hard if we gonna always bring out the lil one.. Mom always the best!! Without her, our path will be even more tough ... Thanks, Mom.

My son started his prep year in primary school.. This year going to be Grade 1 by Feb. My elder dotta going to start the kinders 3 yrs old class ... is only twice a week, she is more independent which make me less worries on her. Lil one getting very cheeky and naughty nowadays.. very fast in picking up new thing as got big bro and big sis to follow..

Hopefully this year thing will getting even better and smooth. Happy New Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai to all my friends and their families !!

Hao Prep Graduation 2011

Times flies... we been here for almost 1 year.. Hao joined in 2nd term as we arrived on march 2011. And now.... he is graduated from his Prep Year class...Going to be Grade 1 next year...

He enjoyed a lot in the school.... I felt the environment here like more suit him... haha... coz here alot of activities... Visiting Farm (Myuna Farm), park (Enchanted Maze).... etc... is quite fun to study here ... when they learn about police... they arrange a policeman to their class to chat with them... prepare a police badge...real ambulance ....

visiting fire station...when they learn about that..

Here is the video clip i took ... he received his certificate from his principal... I will upload the DVD that prepared by his class teacher on their whole year events... :)

Housewife ...

Had some chit chat with a friend of mine over here... was wondering.. what is the expectation on a husband to his housewife's wife.??

Do they think the wife got PLENTY OF TIMES at home... ?? Shaking legs ...?? Mmm... just some little houseworks need to be done ?? Well.... I guess so....

As for me... early morning... till the minute i sleep... there are always things for me to do... esp with 3 little monsters/angels.. House never get tidy... always got cups to wash, plates to wash... thing to pick up from the floor.. Out of my daily job.... their meals... laundry... bath... Me only can on and off ... catch some 10 or 20 min in between to check mails or have a little chat with my friends over net.. i will be on and off 'disappear' during a chat.. (luckily my friends do understand my situation ..hhaha else will not want to chat with me )... Fetching kid to/from school... getting the kids to take naps... kids school homework... getting them to sleep... phew~~ do we really got times?? Mm... might want the 'husband' to try to exchange the role for a day to experience it...

Might gonna ask my own husband on this then =.=

Coffee and Me

This is my daily booster..:)

Not sure since when... I need a coffee for a day .... Even during my pregnancy..

1st kid : more strict... no coffee at all since pregnant..

2nd kid : mm..on and off 'curi' a bit ...

3rd kid : everyday 1 cup of coffee till my boss warn me whenever he saw me drink coffee "Eh. .. you want yr bb skin like 'kopi-o' ?"

I know is not really good to drink coffee... but I always make it a cup per day, not more than that.... I just cant stop missing the aroma of the coffee... the smells... well... my hubby said 'u addicted!' (always 'ngo' me whenever i drink it) :p

Especially now, a fully time homemaker ... somehow like lost direction in my life... or myself... taking care of 3 kids by myself is really not a easy job...i took it very serious at initial stage... make me so tense, as I want to make my 'job' so efficient... till a point... I know i need a break .. or somehow a balance between me and my 'job' ... I need to have space to breath... Coffee is one of the compliment i can give to myself everyday for the hard 'job'...

Wells... coffee and me... can't be separated...:)

I received a call from Hao's school office on 2 Nov.. around 11 am +.. Hao's arm hurt AGAIN!! I rushed to the school with my 2 gals.. heading to the office ... and see my poor little boy... sitting on a chair with the red eyes... left arm been hanged by a first-aid scarf over his neck...

According to the teacher, he fell down from monkey bar in school playground.. Bought him to see the Dr in the nearly medical centre, Mariana medical centre.. Xray and i called the father.. Dr asked to go Hospital emergency.. as xray shown clear fracture on his bone, near the left elbow.. Luckily hubby had reached the train station and i just go to fetch him before we go to Dandenong Hospital... If not, i really doubts how i can go by myself with my 3 kids :( (poor thing over here now, no body able to help if anything happen)..

In hospital, registered and waited...Asked to go for another round of xray as Dr concerned on the alignment of the bone position... as the xray previously done in clinic not able to show clearly. Result out ... not a good new... he need to go thru an operation to fix it. called K-wires. Putting 2 pins/wires to 'freeze' the alignement during the recovery... My tears was going to out from my eyes, but i tried so hard to calm down as Hao was looking at me, do not want him to worry... Hubby with 2 dottas waiting outside as the gals make noise.. i told Hao, dr will put him into sleep, as scare might make him feel pains if he not asleep, once he wake up , the arm will be 'fixed' and i will be there always. He is very steady and brave, he just say OK.

Only 1 ppl allowed to go into the operation room... before he put on sleep... there are few ppl in charge, Dr + some assistants.. They are surprised that Hao was so calm and not crying or making any noise...Dr asked me if he went thru any operation before. I said Nope.... He said he so brave and calm... that's my good and brave boy!!

After they put him to sleep, they immediately ask me out and bring me to the children ward... ask us to wait there... and wait for their calls once done.

Is an 1/2 hr operation... and need another 1/2 hr to get him wake up... We were waiting in the children ward play room... 2 of my gals was enjoy playing there... with all the toys, blocks, art works, etc. My hubby get me to get some drinks at the other room.. 1 hr is really hard to pass.. I keep on praying since we reached hosp.. whenever i got time ... Please be with him...and everything go smooth!!

Thanks God. Nurse informed me to go to operation room, he was waking up... Nurse brought me there..and he still unconscious.. Dr said he is waking up... then when i was there, He keep on calling his name, i called him as well, and finally he opened his eyes... phew~~ make me so relief.... Thanks God!

It was 7pm+ He was pushed to his bed in the children ward and i was with him for 1 night in the hospital, sofa bed just beside him.. Next day everything seems good.. and we allow to discharge... and go to hosp for 1st wk chkup...Off to school for 1 wks + and now he is back to school!!

After 1st wk chkup, Dr said everything good, just go back hosp to pull out the wires after 5th week.. Phew~~ there will be another stage that hard for me to pass... I had watched the video from youtube on how the K-wire been pulled out... I dont think i wanna watch that on my son's arm... :(

hailing ...

It's been a long time i did not blog around... kind of down and busy with the kids and .... phew~~ houseworks and the routine life with kids is forever never ending ~

This is the 1st hailing i experienced in my life... it was last month/2 mths ago? cant really remember.. i remembered it was a heavy rain, while i was at home with my 2 daughters .. .suddenly i just hear something noisy... while i watch out from my windows... realised there lots of 'white dots' dropping down from sky.... checking my garden.... all over.. spreading around is like a small round ice stuff.... the size is just like the 'sat ku mai' (cantonese) ...

Well... me and my Qin are so excited.. snapping picture and watching and touching the ices ... :)

妈妈说:"芹芹，自己跌倒自己爬 .．．＂

芹芹姐姐：＂不要．．．呜呜＂

妈妈：＂做么不要？？＂

芹芹姐姐：＂因为啊．．因为啊．．．　我不是欣霓．．呜呜＂

2011 中秋节

This is our 1st Mid-Autumn Festival celebration in Australia... Just our own family, with no lantern and candles ... and no relatives around...

I had cooked more dish as normal day as Mid-Autumn is quite a big day for chinese. A day where the family members to gather and hang around.

Gave a call to my mum in Taiping, she is alone there .. as my bro need to work in Ipoh.. just had dinner out on the day before...

I hope every year, my family will be sitting in the dining table, chatting and eating together, hopefully next year will be more merrier ...

Hao : " 我选到我的girl friend 了,prep B 的"

妈吓到: "啊!! 她叫什麼名字?"

Hao: "I not sure..."

妈 :　　 not sure？

Hao: "Not sure she is from Prep B or not?"

妈 :　"你知道什麼是girl friend 吗?? 就是你很喜欢她, 很...."

Hao 打断妈妈: '我知道, 我知道 girl friend 是什麼啦...'

妈妈額头冒汗,"是华人还是白人??"

Hao: "华人.."

.....................

两天后, 妈妈再追查

妈 :"你今天有看见你的girl friend 吗?"

Hao : "有, 在playground 的monkey bar 那边."

妈 : "华人噢?"

Hao: "哦, 是白人来的, 头发是brown colour 的"

妈 :" 嗄??!!!" 才两天,这孩子是换了girl friend 吗 ????

Finally... we considered as 'settled down' now :)

Me and my hubby had passed the driving test ... this is the 2nd attempts of test.. we both failed on the 1st one... a bit unbelievable that... we been driving for so many years but get a 'fail' on our 1st try... well... gonna take it easy sometimes..

It was so nervous for my driving test... yeah, for me, any test/examination will make me so nervous ... try to tell myself.. calm down... steady ya.... i got a young beautiful examiner.. we dont go for any driving instructor on 2nd time.. as is not necessary for our case... we rented a car , as our only car is 'van type' .. where the handbrake is not in the middle.. we need a vehicle that 'handbrake' in the middle of front seats... is much more cheaper ... we rented for 2 days.. (me and my hubby test separate day as 1 need to standby take care of kids) ... Luckily the weather was good.. pretty kind young examiner.. i try my best to obey all the rules and 'pattern' of driving style in victoria.. .. Ya... you need to look at the mirrors (back mirror/side mirror), before you put on yr indicator and make yr turn... we used to on the indicator first... only check mirrors... well, i just try to remember "Mirror mirror, indicator " :P End of the test, i got a cross on the test paper... that she explained to me, i pulled out too fast .... phew~~ luckily just one cross...

That's all, that's over... Thanks God!!

My hub will start his new job by end of sept, and is really for me alone to take care of 3 children from there onward... but i believe somehow thing doesn't go that worst as what we thought of.. wish me lucks... :)

电影: 非诚勿扰 2

我非常喜欢 "非诚勿扰" 这套电影. 都看了几遍.

前几天, 在youtube 找些资料, 竟然看到 "非诚勿扰 2".. 就当下开了来看...还是没让我失望的一套戏 :) 很喜欢当中的几个对白 ... 尤其是这一句 :

"一辈子, 很短"

每一个人, 在生命里的每一个阶段, 都在忙着计划该做些什麼, 什麼还没做.. 我门就这忙忙碌碌的过了"一辈子"...

当中有多少个可以活在当下, 活得自在呢?? 我真希望是当中的其中一位. 我不想我短短的一生, 就忙着烦着的没了...

话说的简单, 生活可是一门很深的哲學...

Pumpkin Huat Kuey

I came across this recipe from one of the blog... found the ingredients and instruction quite simple, i just try to make it.. but i replace the sweet potato with pumpkin as I dont have it in my fridge :p

I steam with my baking tray as I dont have my paper cup... it turned up to be quite nice... just some of the kuey does not smile on top ..

Here my pumpkin Huat Kuey

I had amended a bit on the original recipe...

Ingredients: (make about 7 - 9 cups 100ml size disposal cups)

250g Self Raising Flour (2 cups)
250ml Coconut Milk
1 Medium/Large Egg
1 Big Pieces Of Gula Malaka(Palm Sugar) - 200 gram - 1 cup
50 ml water
3-4 Small Sweet Potato/Pumpkin (about 300g)

Methods:
1. Wash and steam the sweet potatoes until soft, peel off the skin and use a fork or finger to roughly break into pieces then set aside to cool.
2. I used normal brown sugar. You can use gula melaka if you want(place the 50ml of water and gula malakain a small saucepan and simmer over low heat until completely dissolved). Set aside for it to cool before using.
4. Pour the self-raising flour into a big mixing bowl, then make a well in the center and pour in the coconut milk and whisk a few times before adding in the egg.
5. Kept on whisk until the egg is incorporate into the batter then pour in the syrup and whisk well.
6. The mixture will be sort of like a pancake batter, lastly add in the sweet potato/pumpkin pieces(reserve some for the topping) and stir till combined.
7. Spoon the mixture into a aluminium cup(100ml)/papercup/baking tray then top with some extra sweet potatoes and steam over medium/high heat for about 20 minutes.

Butter cake 牛油蛋糕

I got this recipe from my friend , ZC.While she got from her taiwan friend... good recipe shared among the people from different corner on the earth ya...

A good and super simple and fabulous taste...

Here come Butter Cake. 牛油蛋糕

Ingredients:

Flour 1.5 cup

Sugar 1/2 cup

Butter 1/2 cup

Milk 1/2 cup

Egg 1

Baking powder 2 teaspoon

Instruction:

1. Preheat your oven with 180c for 5 minute

2. Bake with 180c for 45min

芋头糕

I had learn up a lot of cooking/bakery over in Australia now... just want to note down the recipe ... coz some i had tried few attempts only get it right to what been expected..

Yam cake is my favourite cake since small... I do not like yam except yam cake... now at least i know how to make it for myself... a yummy one...

Here come my 芋头糕

Ingredients:

200克粘米粉 - (1 ½ cup)

a bit of salt (REMEMBER)
400g Yam 芋头
30g 虾米，泡软切碎
5 粒 shallots (sliced) 小葱头，切片
4 gloves garlic 蒜头，切抹
50g Cooking Oil食油
650g Water 清水
调味
1 tsp corn flour粟粉

1茶匙鸡精粉
1/4 tsp pepper 糊椒粉

1 tsp five spices powder 五香粉

Instructions/做法：
1. 用油和小火爆香红葱头,待红葱头变成金黄色后洒上少许盐，熄火倒入小碗里备用。Or you can used those ready-made.
2. 将芋头削皮后洗净，一半切丁，另一半刮丝备用。
3. 把粘米粉，粟粉，鸡精粉和糊椒粉混合在一个大碗内然后慢慢倒入650 毫升的清水搅拌均匀。
4. 热锅，加入一汤匙的油，爆香虾米和蒜头翻炒一下，然后再将芋头块和丝一起放入拌炒。
5. 最后，一边翻炒，一边顺序地倒入米浆水，搅拌成稍微黏浆性，熄火把粉浆倒入涂上油的糕盘里。
6. 隔水用中火蒸大约 30 至 40 分钟（看糕盘大小而定），你可竹签试探看糕点是否还以蒸熟。
7. 等芋头糕冷却，用刀沿锅缘划一圈,取一大盘倒扣即可。

朋友A 跟我讲, 在Australia library 你可以租好多本书和CD.. 我问我丈夫, 在KL 为何我们都没有去租书呢?? 而是去买的多... 他说 : KL 只有一间library, 塞得车去,塞得车回 .. 又没好书.. 唉...我们国家的悲哀 ...

我们就去了一趟, 有华文书哩... 租了几本书和一些CD... 泡书去啦...

用了两天的时间, 读完了一本小说... "男人疯狂,女人现实".....

里面的女主角, 在外辛苦赚钱, 下班后在家洗衣烧饭...

离婚时还被丈夫批为猪的肥胖阿婶 ...

近过三个月的减肥,

终于找回自我, 最后还找到一个好男人..

一个女人的要求其实很简单..

一个体贴, 体谅的丈夫 ...

还有...

家是两个人一起"经营"的，而不是一个负责弄乱，一个负责收拾。

Bad example

Yesterday my son due to small thing, yelled to the father and talk impolite .... father tried to ask him to behalf well and do not talk like that and said will punish him if he continue like that..this make the situation even worst.. My son is the type of , if you try hard to him.. he will even more hard ... I tried to ask the father dont get angry, let him cool down first... father insisted is the 'right time' to educate him ... well.. son yelled even hard and said something that 'knock' my head ... "I very 'fan' now,very 'fan' of you ... papa and keQin, etc' As the sentense sounds 'familiar' to me... i felt upset... the 'words' came from my mouth.. and from the father as well... i yelled to them when i felt so frustrated with them.... fighting, noisy , etc ...

I asked the 'father' just leave him alone... i will talk to him once i done my cooking..(i was half-way preparing lunch)..

During the bath time.... i had a good talk with him.. i asked him gently 'Just now i heard you said you are very 'fan'... where you learn this word from? You 'acting' like me or your father?"

Suddenly, he looked at me with cheeky face.. smile a bit and said 'You, mama... i 'act' like you' ... I am glad that he telling me the true.. I continuously said 'Well... you all sometimes act too naughty and I cannot control myself to said this out, but promise me, dont yelled again like that and yelling this words out...And I promise you, i will not say so. If I accidentally forgot... you remind me and tell me that we had promised each other, okay??"

he said 'Mm... i wanted to say again, but i wont yell... i said very very soft and low low sounds like 'mmm... I ~~~~ fan' and he just laugh with this new idea of talking like tweety bird sounds ... phew~~ my son...

Mind our own language especially in front of the kids.

Think Positive

Just before i come to Australia, i had tuned my mindset as try to think positive for all the stuffs around. As i believe the power of words.. after i touched down here... kind of pressures of all kind of thing to settle within the deadline.. negative thinking arises ... loneliness, unhappiness... all follow closely that made my mood getting even worst.

This morning while i put on uniform for Hao... i was chatting with him, suddenly like a 'blink' in my mind.. i told him ...u need to talk about all positive stuff, as our words very powerful... when you said bad thing, it really 'come', so we need to talk all the positive stuff... as good will follow us as well.....suddenly i like awake... yeah... where am i heading these few weeks?? why I become mentally so weak? Just becoz of my own mindset.... phew~~ settling down definitely needs times..... and I need patient and more positive thoughts on top of EVERYTHING that will only keep me moving forward!!!

Mom... you got more friends now...

I was telling Hao that... 'Hao, you got so many friends now.. even more than mom... i so pity, i got so little friend here only... i only knew Adam's mom... Clayton's mom and dad... Chelsea's mom.. '... he said 'ya... i got so much now, more than you...'

Last sunday evening, we went to our nearby park ... i chat with a lady... with her 2 grandchildren.. She is from china... helping the dotta to take care the kids while both the dotta and son in law working...They moved from Spore ... been here for 1-2 yrs... Very lovely friendly lady....

Yesterday morning ... i was chatting with an old Ang Mo lady ...Pam and her hubby, Barry.. playing with their grandkids in the park... Same as us, they just move here for 2 mths +.. She told me the kids from 'farm' area.. so they are noisy.... haha.. all the kids are 'noisy' when they at playground.. no mattter where they from.....

on our way back by paddle... Hao in front and i am back following.... he said 'Mom...... you got more friends now.... '... this boy really put my words in his little mind....yes.. hopefully i will know more friends from now onwards...quite miss my days in KL with my friends...colleagues.... so lonely over here ** sob sob........

Mum... i felt like going back KL....

I had a chat with my son, Hao ... while both of his sis had asleep ... i started with "Do you miss KL? or yr frens in KL?"

he like 'emm... i felt like going back KL"...

I asked 'Is it becoz u miss yr frens there? or ah ma?"

he said 'nope.... you guess'..... he started to use his finger to count ...

i said 'mm... Henry? ' he like 'mm.. nope'...

then i try my 2nd attempt... 'Lo Mai Kai??" he said 'yes... 1, then?" put his thumb up... for the 1st item i guessed corrrectly... then i said 'mm.. apung that i bought for you from Pasar Malam...?" .. he like 'correct... what's next?" 1 more finger up.... "Ha Peng?" "Roti Canai", "Bak Chang", "Chic Rice"... YES YES YES!!! his eyes blinking.... more and more fingers up....phew~~ this boy... missing all the food from KL.... just like the mum.......^_^

looks like i need to start 'picking' up those skills to learn how to make all those food....

"Why No English"??

It's 2 mths + we been here.... initial stage we had been running up and down to do all kind of stuffs.. then we slow down our steps to take a breath... now we continue for the remaining issues...

Yesterday we went to city to bring my mom for the health assessment - chest xray, which is one of the procedure to follow in order to extent her visa stay for another 3 mths ... took number, wait for the queue, got it...paid and complete everything then wait for the queue for x-ray...

The radiographer is a 'ang mo' lady... she is very friendly, i accompany my mom to go in... i translated to my mom on what to do... she is very friendly... she do thing very gentle ... then done... There is another chinese young man colleague with her... after mymom turn, i guessed she wanted to take a break for lunch, etc. She informed the chinese guy that he is taking over the job ... i was waiting my mom there near the dressing room, so i can hear clearly on what they said... xray area is at the same area...

The next is a indian girl, done... then a chinese girl done, he did very fast.. then a chinese man, about 50 i guess... he cant speak english... normally the radiographer will ask 1 questions, 'Your birthday?" The man didnt answer, the young man repeated again "Your birthday?" ... silent again... The young man is not patient and said 'Ai...... your birthday?"..... after a while, i guess the chinese man said 'no english' (means he dunno english)... i heard the young chinese radiographer talked very loud , as i can hear cleary 'WHY NO ENGLISH???" ..... then he started to talk a bit impolite .... " if i say 1, do a deep breath in and hold, like this ' he do the deep breath veryloudly... and so on... said loud 'do you get it? do you understand me? ah??" ...

I actually felt very upset on hearing all these.... i felt shame on the young chinese radiographer... First, he is not professional enough to carry out his job... Then i felt he bit of 'look down' the chinese man... Actually there are a lot of chinese whom 'look down' on those chinese that cannot speak a proper english, and they forgot they are chinese... if you are chinese and you cannot speak your own mother tongue, i think he more shameful (I dont mean to all ABC , jsut for those got this kind of attitude problem) ... This young man, he can either speak politely in english if people dunno english .. but not in a impolite tune... really felt upset on this...

Settling down in Oz

It's been a month + upon our touched down to this country... Thinking back all the stuffs that happen during this period, it just like a dream.... sorting out all the stuffs... arranging ... stress...phew~~ is all over...

Hao started his school at 27 april.. the Education rules a bit different here... 6 years old will need to enter to Year 1 in primary...but you must be 6 yrs old by 30 april... Means.. if your bday fall beyond this date, you are considered 5 years old... sounds complicated?? hahaha.. so Hao end up in Prep year ... next year only enter to Year 1, as he is a December baby!

He started on 2nd term... for the last 6 days of his schoolling, everyday i got to wake up early to prepare his lunch box ...they started at 9am, finished at 3.30pm. He got his swimming class started on 1st day... last for 8 days.. is kind of intensive swimming course.. so parent can follow but drive own car... to the nearby college (Haileybury College) and watch from audience seat ... so i sent him to school at 8.45am and back after his swimming session, reached home about 11am ++ ....phew~ cooking... serviing, laundry... bathing them... thats a day for me...

still try to arranging sometimes for myself for surfing net, posting blog...uploading photo (a lot pending ....) prob the best time is after they sleep... BUT i sleep Toooo!!!! hahhaa...

now is autumn... quite cold...daily temperature is about 11-17 now...

Our next mission is getting Oz driving license...another study for us... 2 computer test + 1 on the road... Australia recognised spore driving license but NOT malaysia :(

not sure how it will become when my mom back to Malaysia,... prob i become a crazy woman yelling the kids along the streets..... hahha...

new start up ....

I arrived in Melbourne on 18 march and had moved to my house on 8 April 2010 at Patterson Lakes ... It is already 1 mth in oz and 2 wks in my new house.. And I had started my new role --> Homemaker (Housewife in Oz is called Homemaker) ... :)

My channel still not tuned to be a homemaker yet... haha.. my timetable still not up, but need to make up soon as Hao going to start his schooling on 27 April 2011 ...next Wednesday...

For the last 1 mth, we had kind of settling whatever we could ... centrelink, medicare ...kids enrollment, house settlement issue. Finally, still left 1... wait for Hao schooling started and to get the driving license...phew~~

Unpacking still on going... mostly on cloths stuff.... here is getting cold... those cloth need to put aside and get them thicker cloth ... winter is coming....

See....still got a lot of stuff..... will tell more in my next blog on the groceries shopping here... everything is quite new to us... still a lot to find out here.....

Here I come, melbourne

Its my 4th day in Melbourne.... only have time to sit in front of my laptop and 'online'..... :)

1st day a bit messy.. as car rental took some times.... end up ... we

a. late to delivery the rental car ... luckily we manage to find a free parking for rental car overnite, as we do not wish to drive 2 cars to our resort (which is 65km from city - 1 1/2 hrs) phew~~

b. late to check in kyneton bushland resort. Well... resort receptionist is not operate 24 hrs like msia.. we reached about 10.30 pm, they closed at 9pm. We tried to contact emergency no provided by the brochure... well.. end up we drive back to city and rent a nite there at Preston...

Good thing to think about is.. we stayed in Preston, we do not need to rush for returning the car before 10am as the rental office just walking distance from the hotel... and we got times to shop for groceries before we check-in the Kyneton resort...

End up, w/o enuf sleep and water, me having sore throat now... and some cough... luckily my kids all well taken care...

Today, we went to Bendigo to register with the Centrelink and Medicare, everything go smoothly.. luckily my mom is here.. helps a lot !!

I still got no time to snap the pix...prob started tomolo ... snap some kangaroos photos then... Good nite!!

2011 dream

It's been some time I did not update my blog...

2010 ... quite a challenging year for me...

There are some major stuffs happened in last year (now considered last year)

There is a new family member :) my super cute chubby lil daughter.

There is a big moving plan for my whole family...

Well... there is no guarantee on there is always turn up to be best of changing the new lifestyle ..

but at least... if there is opportunity given.. no harm to give it a try...

Moving forward is still always better than remain unchanged. I always believe that.. and have faith that thing will go smoothly as planned or as wished.. (something is really not able to plan out).

Everyone has dreams.... passion of life... I do hope my friends do not forget theirs... :)

3x before and after....

3x before and after... what is this all about... 3x is my age... haha. as usual, age is the secret of a woman... :p

before 3x.. when come to eating, is to fullfill my eyes and brain. as looking for a nice presentable food and also thinking to eat all kind of food..... w/o asking my body like it or not...

but now... start thinking what should i 'feed' my body to let it more healthy and what is my body required actually... emphasize on quality and not quantity anymore...

fren, we had burden our body too much, is time to take a good care of it... dont start too late ya....!

read a new that really shocked me.. 19 yrs old college boy... suicide becoz of that.. wondering nowadays the youngsters ... is it cannot take pressures or how their mind is thinking on 'Life'... there is a chinese term called 'strawberry group', which describe the youngster that not able to handle pressures ... wondering what is the root caused for this?

Too protective from parent? I means what the big deal if broke off with g/b fren?? There are a lot of valuable 'items' out there.... why their 'thinking' so narrow or to be said immature or selfish? Me a bit angry when look at this kind of news... as they never concerns of their closest family members, esp parent.

You know what... i keep thinking the root caused and wanna make sure it will not happen to my kids, how to educate them so that they will have more positive thinking, how to handle problem, a right mindset and know how to appreciate ... ...is really not an easy job .... sign........

Star Fish Boy

Nowadays, I am very busy during weekend, as i had 1 infant, 2 kids now....

My routine job scope:

Morning : bath 3 of them... their bfast

Noon : prepare lunch for every one and feeding......

Night : bath, prepare dinner and feed them.....

Basically, I dont have much time esp play with my son... My son is a super active boy, he just want to play... or disturb the sis ... make her shout loud or cried loud... or find something 'Not toys' to play with...

Last week, when i out from my kitchen, i see him in a special custom made suit.... not sure want to faint or want to laugh..... here my Star Fish boy...

p/s: fyi... is a mattress cover... he took out the mattress ( 2 pcs inside) and wear on the mattress cover and become ....... STAR FISH!

This is the 1st time that the bro treated the sis so good... ya.. feeding the sis dinner.... not sure what happen to him ..hahhaa... as most of the time, he will make the sis shout, cry ....

haha.. but only for few mouths... he said 'my hand tire liao, qin .. u eat yourself lar....'

i said 'now you know .... everyday want me to feed you'..

after that, Qin keep saying 'i wan ko ko to feed me..'... Ko ko ran far far away and shouted 'NOPE'...

hahha... snap down this and show them in the future....

Enjoy vs kids

Recently had came across this on my mind... Most of the time, i will think like 'after my kids grow up, i can go enjoy the thing i like... for ie...shopping, dancing..etc'. I think most of the mommies out there had the same thoughts like mine...

You know, to go out with infants or toddlers.. you need to prepare a lot of stuff.. pack a big bag, filled with pampers, milk powder, bottle, waters, cloth, handkerchief etc... make sure your 'monitoring system' is strong and full with 'energy' to keep an eye on them.. esp in public area.. come back with stuff to wash, settle them (bath and change cloth) ... then only you got time to settle yourself... sounds tiring rite??

Thus, we use to say 'NOPE' whenever want to go out with kids...when thought of all the hassle and mess...

So we missed the time for friend gatherings... fashion trends.. window shopping funs.. and our kids missed these all as well... worth it?? From the other point of view.. you still taking care of your kids.. just location wise is different. We as a parent still perform the same tasks and we did enjoy at the same times as well...

Sometimes i still prefer to bring them out and 'handle' the mess/hassle for the whole process ... even is tire... but i thought this is so called "LIFE" :)

在教育孩子的问题上，美国父母有很多值得中国父母学习的地方

儿子去美国留学，毕业后定居美国。还给我找了个洋媳妇苏珊。如今，小孙子托比已经3岁了。今年夏天，儿子为我申请了探亲签证。在美国待了三个月，洋媳妇苏珊教育孩子的方法，令我这个中国婆婆大开眼界。

不吃饭就饿着

每天早上，托比醒来后，苏珊把早餐往餐桌上一放，就自顾自地忙去了。托比会自己爬上凳子，喝牛奶，吃面包片。吃饱后，他回自己的房间，在衣柜里找衣服、鞋子，再自己穿上。毕竟托比只有3岁，还搞不清楚子的正反面，分不清鞋子的左右脚。有一次托比又把裤子穿反了，我赶紧上前想帮他换，却被苏珊制止了。她说，如果他觉得不舒服，会自己脱下来，重新穿好；如果他没觉得有什么不舒服，那就随他的便。那一整天，托比反穿着裤子跑来跑去，苏姗像没看见一样。

又一次，托比出去和邻居家的小朋友玩，没多大会就气喘吁吁地跑回家，对苏珊说：“妈妈，露西说我的裤子穿反了，真的吗？”露西是邻居家的小姑娘，今年5岁。苏姗笑着说： “是的，你要不要换回来？”托比点点头，自己脱下裤子，仔细看了看，重新穿上了。从那以后，托比再也没穿反过裤子。

我不禁想起，我的外孙女五六岁时不会用筷子，上小学时不会系鞋带。如今在上寄宿制初中的她，每个周末都要带回家一大堆脏衣服呢。

一天中午，托比闹情绪，不肯吃饭。苏珊说了他几句，愤怒地小托比一把将盘子推到了地上，盘子里的食物洒了一地。苏姗看着托比，认真地说：“看来你确实不想吃饭！记住，从现在到明天早上，你什么都不能吃。”托比点点头，坚定地回答：“Yes!”我在心里暗笑，这母子俩，还都挺倔！

下午，苏珊和我商量，晚上由我做中国菜。我心领神会，托比告别爱吃中国菜，一定是苏珊觉得托比中午没好好吃饭，想让他晚上多吃点儿。

那天晚上我施展厨艺，做了托比最爱吃的糖醋里脊、油闷大虾，还用意大利面做了中国式的凉面。托比最喜欢吃那种凉面，小小的人可以吃满满一大盘。

开始吃晚饭了，托比欢天喜地地爬上凳子。苏珊却走过来，拿走了他的盘子和刀叉，说：“我们已经约好了，今天你不能吃饭，你自己也答应了的。”托比看着面容严肃的妈妈，“哇” 地一声在哭起来，边哭边说：“妈妈，我饿，我要吃饭。”“不行，说过的话要算数。”苏珊毫不心软。

我心疼了，想替托比求情，说点好话，却见儿子对我使眼色。想起我刚到美国时，儿子就跟我说，在美国，父母教育孩子时，别人千万不要插手，即使是长辈也不例外。无奈，我只好保持沉默。

那顿饭，从始至终，可怜的小托比一直坐在玩具车里，眼巴巴地看着我们三个大人狼吞虎咽。我这才明白苏珊让我做中餐的真正用意。我相信，下一次，托比想发脾气扔饭碗时，一定会想起自己饿着肚子看爸爸妈妈和奶奶享用美食的经历。饿着肚子的滋味不好受，况且还是面对自己最喜爱的食物。

临睡前，我和苏珊一起去向托比道晚安。托比小心翼翼地问： “妈妈，我很饿，现在我能吃中国面吗？”苏珊微笑着摇摇头，坚决地说：“不！”托比叹了口气，又问：“那等我睡完觉睁开眼睛时，可以吃吗？”“当然可以。”苏珊温柔地回答。托比甜甜地笑了。

大部分情况下，托比吃饭都很积极，他不想因为“罢吃”而错过食物，再受饿肚子的苦。每当看到托比埋头大口大口地吃饭，嘴上脸上粘的都是食物时，我就想起外孙女。她像托比这么大时，为了哄她吃饭，几个大人端着饭碗跟在她屁股后面跑，她还不买账，还要谈条件：吃完这碗买一个玩具，再吃一碗买一个玩具……

以其人之道，还治其人这身

有一天，我们带托比去公园玩。很快，托比就和两个女孩儿玩起了厨房游戏。塑料小锅、小铲子、小盘子、小碗摆了一地。忽然，淘气的托比拿起小锅，使劲在一个女孩儿头上敲了一下，女孩儿愣了一下，放声大哭。另一个女孩儿年纪更小一些，见些情形，也被吓得大哭起来。大概托比没想到会有这么严重的后果，站在一旁，愣住了。

苏珊走上前，开清了事情的来龙去脉后，她一声不吭，拿起小锅，使劲敲到托比的头上，托比没防备，一下子跌坐在草地上，哇哇大哭起来。苏珊问托比：“疼吗？下次还这样吗？” 托比一边哭，一边拼命摇头。我相信他以后再也不会这么做了。

托比的舅舅送了他一辆浅蓝色的小自行车，托比非常喜欢，当成宝贝，不许别人碰。邻居小姑娘露西是托比的好朋友，央求托比好几次，要骑他的小车，托比都没答应。

一次，几个孩子一起玩时，露西趁托比不注意，偷偷骑上小车，扬长而去。托比发现后，气愤地跑来向苏珊告状。苏珊正和几个孩子的母亲一起聊天喝咖啡，便微笑着说：“你们的事情自己解决，妈妈可管不了。”托比无奈地走了。

过了一小会儿，露西骑着小车回来了。托比看到露西，一把将她推倒在地，抢过了小车。露西坐在地上大哭起来。苏珊抱起露西，安抚了她一会儿。很快，露西就和别的小朋友兴高采烈地玩了起来。

托比自己骑了会车，觉得有些无聊，看到那几个孩子玩得那么高兴，他想加入，又觉得有些不好意思。他蹭到苏珊身边，嘟囔道：“妈妈，我想跟露西他们一起玩。”苏珊不动声色地说：“那你自己去找他们啦！”“妈妈，你陪我一起去。” 托比恳求道。“那可不行，刚才是你把露西弄哭的，现在你又想和大家玩，就得自己去解决问题。”

托比骑着小车慢慢靠近露西，快到她身边时，又掉头回来。来回好几次，不知道从什么时候开始，托比和露西又笑逐颜开，闹成了一团。

管教孩子是父母的事

苏珊的父母住在加利福尼亚州，听说我来了，两人开车来探望我们。家里来了客人，托比很兴奋，跑上跑下地乱窜。他把玩沙子用的小桶装满了水，提着小桶在屋里四处转悠。苏珊警告了她好几次，不要把水洒到地板上，托比置若罔闻。最后，托比还是把水桶弄倒了，水洒了一地。兴奋的小托比不觉得自己做错了事，还得意地光着脚丫踩水玩，把裤子全弄湿了。我连忙找出拖把准备拖地。苏珊从我手中抢过拖把交给托比，对他说：“把地拖干，把湿衣服脱下来，自己洗干净。”托比不愿意，又哭又闹。苏珊二话不说，直接把他拉到贮藏室，关了禁闭。听到托比在里面发出惊天动地的哭喊，我心疼坏了，想进去把他抱出来。托比的外婆却拦住我，说： “这是苏珊的事。”

过了一会儿，托比不哭了，他在贮藏室里大声喊：“妈妈，我错了。”苏珊站在门外，问：“那你知道该怎么做了吗？” “我知道。”苏珊打开门，托比从贮藏室走出来，脸上还挂着两行泪珠。他拿起有他两个高的拖把吃力地把地上的水拖干净。然后，他脱下裤子，拎在手上，光着屁股走进洗手间，稀里哗啦地洗起衣服来。

托比的外公外婆看着表情惊异的我，意味深长地笑了。这件事让我感触颇深。在很多中国家庭，父母管教孩子时，常常会引起“世界大战”，往往是外婆外公护，爷爷奶奶拦，夫妻吵架，鸡飞狗跳。

后来，我和托比的外公外婆聊天时，提到这件事，托比的外公说了一段话，让我印象深刻。他说，孩子是父母的孩子，首先要尊重父母对孩子的教育方式。孩子虽然小，却是天生的外交家，当他看到家庭成员之间出现分歧时，他会很聪明地钻空子。这不仅对改善他的行为毫无益处，反而会导致问题越来越严重，甚至带来更多别的问题。而且，家庭成员之间发生冲突，不和谐的家庭氛围会带给孩子更多的不安全感，对孩子的心理发展产生不利影响。所以，无论是父辈与祖辈在教育孩子的问题上发生分歧，还是夫妻两人的教育观念有差异，都不能在孩子面前发生冲突。

托比的外公外婆在家里住了一周，准备回加利福尼亚了。临走前两天，托比的外公郑重地问女儿：“托比想要一辆玩具挖掘机，我可以买给他吗？”苏珊想了想，说：“你们这次来，已经送给他一双旱冰鞋作为礼物了，到圣诞节时，再买玩具挖掘机当礼物送给他吧！”

我不知道托比的外公是怎么告诉小家伙的，后来我带托比去超市，他指着玩具挖掘机说：“外公说，圣诞节时，给我买这个当礼物。”语气里满是欣喜和期待。

虽然苏珊对托比如此严格，托比去却对妈妈爱得不得了。他在外面玩时，会采集一些好看的小花或者他认为漂亮的叶子，郑重其事地送给妈妈；别人送给他礼物，他会叫妈妈和他一起拆开；有什么好吃的，也总要留一半给妈妈。

想到很多中国孩子对父母的漠视与冷淡，我不得不佩服我的洋媳妇。在我看来，在教育孩子的问题上，美国妈妈有很多值得中国妈妈学习的地方。

New Born Diary-Back to work

Time flies... finish my 2 mths maternity leaves... time to back to work.. few new faces = new colleagues...

For me... i had settled a number of stuff during this 2 wks off (started to send my bb to bb sitter, 2 wks before i start work).. My mom IC is blue now.. after processing for 5 years.. yes.. is 5 Years.. even she born in Johor, but still need 5 yrs to convert the red to blue.. And get her a passport... hehe.. i told her.. 'You can fly now' :) And 1 more good news , she no longer need to take the medication for the blood circulation control.. which dr initially said she might need to take for her whole life... she is so happy on taking off that critical medicine..:)

Mm.. another bad new.. which is out of the control.. my bb left ear is not so well.. Left ear is not giving a good response waive on testings (upon born and 1st mth test)... which need a more detail diagnostic test during the 2nd month jap time... ... hope is not that serious , pray hard !

My mom still here as I no need to rush too much now... she will be going back mid/end of july, which will start my 'iron lady' life... :(

Xin Ni .... not sure will turn up to be a pampered gal, as the bro and sis 'sayang' her so much.. treat her like a little princess at home now... :)

New Born Diary - Full month

Time flies... this coming saturday will have the full month ceremony for my new born...

Xin Ni turned to be more fair now.. last few weeks... mm.. since born, she more red and darker in skin ... this week turn to be fair .. just like her bro and sis...

She is now taking 3-4 oz (bfeed milk) for every feeding and about 3 oz if formula is given.. As taking a lot of expressed milk, she 'em em' a lot ... if she not sleep, she will cry loud for milk within 1 hour... even pacifier is given, she just cry loud... like my mom said 'no give face'...

This morning had cut her finger nails... very very long... scratched her own face ... when waiting for the milk to warm up... another bad temper and impatient gal ??

The con lady will leave on this coming saturday ... job will be passed back to me and hubby... start my 'panda' eyes life... and back to my iron lady life... after been 'Queen' for a month :)

Just wish my bb stay healthy and easy to take care ^_^

New Born Diary - 七年之痒

This morning took out a old movie to watch... by Carina Lau, Lau Cheng Wan...七年之痒. If i am not mistaken, i watched this movie few times already, which is the combination of comedy and love story.

Lau Cheng Wan really a good actor, as well as Carina Lau.. I especially love when Cheng Wan act in a comedy.. he really got the talent on that...

The process of Marry is EASY. To hold and maintain a marriage is NOT EASY! Every couple is learning the techniques EVERYDAY!

If both not putting any efforts in their marriage, it will end up very bore as got to repeat the same routine everyday, same conversation everyday ... If only one party is contributing ... it will not work out as well... as 一个手掌拍不响 (Clap one hand will not have any sounds). In order to maintain, need a lot of tolerant, understandings... of coz LOVES.

Learn to love the one you had chosen... He/She is definately not PERFECT, as you have to remember that you are not PERFECT as well :p

Phew~~ finally, we manage to get a name for our little angel before due date.. remember, 14 days (2 wks) is given ... after due, kena fined oh....

Thanks to Master Lee on his extra efforts.. as need to double check as we chose other 'word' but same 'pi hua' .. thought is ok, but is actually NOT.. so make sure you all don make the same mistake ya..luckily last minute i double chk with him, and he got to squeeze his time to check for me with so short notice.. :p

My little angel name is 鄔欣霓 (Voon Xin Ni).

Before that, we thought of Xin Tong 欣彤 as Tong is the same number of 筆畫 as the option words given. But too bad ... 彤 is fire element which is not needed by my little angel... so got to choose other name...

To me and my hubby, we not superstition 迷信, name is very important that reflects a person life.. as this is a type of 'knowledge' that ppl had done a lot of research to come out... is not just pick from the sky... I do wish my kids will have a healthy and happy life, which to me is the most important thing in compare with other things..

What do you do during confinement time? Well.... Since i had recruited a confinement lady, once she get used with her routine job (after 2-3 days). You can arrange yr time on planning your own routine as well.

I had start watching Oprah Show, which started at 10.30am on every thurs/Fri. It's really Good show.

Today she talked about the thing that I felt everyone will encounter, soon or later.. on and off ... First of all, ask yourself one question. "What you really want for yourself??"

We tends to forgot one thing 'Love yourself!'. We love our parent, our kids, our hubby, but we used to forgot ourself. You must slot some times in your tight schedule just for yourself to do the thing that 'love' yourself.

For a working mom like me, times is really 'tight' for me... Early morning wake up for preparation (bfast, dinner stuff, kids school stuff, laundry). After work, rush back, cooked dinner (sometimes packed from outside, but I still prefer to have home-cooked meal), bath, fetching the kids from bb sitter hse... son's homeworks, get them to sleep.. tat's all about so called A DAY. Is there time for myself. The answer is NOPE! I believe is not only happened to me. Right?

The result will be, it will be a day where i suddenly felt so exhausted, tired, frustrated.. coz i lose my directions, the meaning of life ... as I been ignore 'myself' for too long...

So.. try to ask yrself "What you really want ?" ... For me, I wan to be healthy and a balanced life. Once you got yr answer, you have to plan it and IMPLEMENT IT !!

Give yourself 30 min or lesser to read the book you like, to practice some exercises, to eat more healthy ... You MUST Plan something to love yourself MORE!!

New Born Diary - My angel

This is my angel, still have not get her a name yet, as waiting for Master Lee （just got his mail, he really good, nice and kind gentleman..trust me.)

She has long hands and legs... her fingers are very long...:) A lot of dark hairs (her bro and sis, esp sis got very very little hairs) And she got something that both of her bro and sis do not have .... a pair of 酒窝 on her cheeks... not sure what it called in English... a good and 乖乖 gal...

yes... the pix taken in labour room, even though i look very 'chan'... but I felt this pix is excellent, my hand still hanging with the induce 'tube' with bloods... my dotta just been weighted and wrapped with warm towel... yes... both eyes are opened and she keep scrolling her eyeballs right and left to see the 'world'... and checking her 'mommy' face... which I told her earlier that we might 'meet' at 5pm ... but postphoned until 11 pm....:)

While in hosp for the 2 days.... there are few times while she is crying loud, i sing the 'ku ku' song (Farewell ku ku song in the movie "The Sound Of Music"), she immediately stop crying and looking at me.... till i finish the song.... Yes, I sing this a lot to her sister (Qin) when she is still in my stomach, proved that she listened as well... and can recognised this song ....

New Born Diary - Con Lady

Not sure what to say about my lucks.... i had a bad experience with con lady on my 2nd confinement ... Qin time..

This round, i got another 'bad' one... damn bad lucks...

I discharged on Friday, my hub had picked up the con lady on that morning, took my lunch from my mil hse, and straight to SJMC for 'check out'.

She is very young look, told me 55 yrs old.... not so thin or not so fat.. medium size... short hair. We reached home around 2pm++. At 7pm, when she served me dinner time, told me she will get replacement for me. Reason is my house too hot, hot till not even got 'air', she cannot tahan hot, so she quit!!

I am staying in a double storey hse... not to say anything good, but so far my hse air circulation not bad. To me is not a reason, must be caused by other reason, but since i got 'experience' in dealing bad con lady before...i told her 'OK, you can leave once yr replacement arrived'

she keep calling her frens, then told me no one... then said she will contact agent, told me sure got. The next day, Saturday morning as my hub went to wet market to buy food , she pass me to talk to agent directy, agent told me need to extra RM 100 as need to cook for my hub and mom for wkday dinner + wkend (lunch + dinner). well, this is their 'rules', i said i will settle the RM 100 with this lady.. I told her that she need to bear watever extra cost, she disagree... and said 'cannot be i pay u for confinement mah'. I am already mad, so told her 'Now, you r the one caused me so much problems, once u arrive, u keep on complaninging this and that, I am paying you and I am the one who need to listen to all kind of complain from you.. You did not tell me you need a fully - air conditinoed envrioment only you can work. You should tell me earlier before you accept the job. Now you said u quit and if you go get a 6k con lady, do I need to pay the extra 3k for your false??"

She keep quiet and say 'I did not say i wan all air cond, ok, i pay the RM 100, and i wan to leave today'.

i said "fine, once yr replacement arrived, u can leave'

she go call agent, said she going to bear the RM100 (actually agent need to pay her if she intro agent job, so i assume the rm 100 is her commision that she give up). Agent told next day onli can arrived as the replacement is Ipoh lady, only can arrive on Sunday. Later she told me she had called taxi, as i said the lady onil can come sunday, she start tok again 'you wan me to bear 100 then now said tomolo onli can leave'. Before i talked to her, i had chk ith my hub, as in wkend, i can get my mil to come to help me coo k.... so i said to her "fine, u go and pay me back the balance'. After she left, 1 hr she called back, my hub said not sure she sendiri 'leong sam gua yi pu chu', then tell me 'the water in yr room is for u to wash hand, the one for bath is in kitchen'. I said 'ok'... then she say ok and off the phhone... Me so good, i even give the taxi driver direction on how to come my hse to ftch her GO!!

The new one arrived on sunday 3pm +. So far so good as i monitor, but dare not comment much as too early to judge, really 'met the ghost, scare the dark'...

Luckily als, my mil knew liao, she came to help me cook and take care bb....

I got her fullname but think of not to really spoil her name...just give you some hints, for those really want to know her name, can email me... she stay in cheras, she got a big
mole' on her face... some where near the mouth (not sure right and left)... she will need u to deposit rm 500 once confirmed. Agent told me, she only work in a very good condition , like hse got a lot of air cond, got maid, etc...

New Born Diary - Labour

First of all, thanks all for the wishes ! Yes , I had delivered my dotta on last wednesday, 5 May 2010 at 11.05 pm, 3.52 kg

Contraction started on Tues nite, wed morning as i monitored, about 1/2 hr once, but no pains, just contractions.... so i just ignore it... and monitored and updated my hub... around noon time, it became every 20 min, 15 min.... but not really pains.. Hub decided to rush back from work ... once he reached, ask me to admit to hosp as he scare later jam,etc... as i want to wait till 'bleed', he said NOPE....

At 2.10pm, I were in labour room.... My gynae told mid wives that.. let it go by natural, no induce. Me and my hub wait and wait, contraction came and gone... strong and soft..... me really no patient on that, it not really pains.... As the prev 2 kids induced, so compare to that, this is just nothing much pains...;p I know is God Blessed me for less suffer ... At around 9pm, only opened 4 cm.... Gynae instructed mid wives to give me 'booster'... (induce).. Given at 9.30pm... 10pm +, already 6-7 cm... When getting stronger and stronger... Informed my gynae, when he reached... As instructed by the Brother Hao { 2 long push }, bb is out !!!

{Brother Hao had instructed the sis that, 'mama onli need to kok 2 times, ok, then u crawl out, then mama no need to be sweat a lot then - man sen ta han}

My gal just look exact like the brother when he born...i describe more on my next 'chapter'... then... my hub had toook more video clips this time... started from my 1st 'push'... i said 'aiyo, u onli take after bb is out mah'...

Bro hao not sleep well on that nite, keep crying and yelling wan to go hosp to accompany me, next day he ponteng... and followed the father to visit me... :(

Sis Qin very good gal, independent and kwai, did not givemuch troubles...:) When she first saw the bb, she sitting beside her for few hrs, to 'jaga', even dont bother to go upstari to see her mom (me) .... :~

My EDD is 13 May, but i know I not able to wait that long, not me as well, my bb .... Dr Ang had informed me last friday, now had opened 1 cm...(still got 21 days to due) bb position is ready... consider everythign is ready, if i really suffer, I can admit for induce anytime (last sat).

But my confinment lady will work till 30 April, she ask to rest on saturday (1 May), and come to start work on sunday, with the conditions of deliver earlier...

In the other hands, I really quite suffer as my tummy is damn big and heavy... and having contractions on and off... tummy sudden tight like wan to pecah.. at nite cannot sleep well, my nephew said i got a pair of big eye bag :( so hard to turn aside on bed...

Just found out my gynae is on leave, and only back on Friday... eiks... even though there will be other gynae on-call , but i still prefer my own gynae lor....

Wanted so much to see my bb asap but got to ask my bb try to 'hold' till the things are ready. If not, got to do a lot of ad hoc planning .....

Ei... dont care lar... the most important I have a healthy bb and the process of labour delivery carried out safetly and smoothly to both of us :)

Pray hard !!! I beleive my bb will arrived at the right time!!

My kids.... no matters how tire am I, when i reached home and get both of them back from bb sitter hse... tat's the lovely and remarkable moments i will have... even though sometimes they really make me rush/busy like mad woman... or yelling them here and there.... but still ... whenever looks at them, i feel HAPPY, smiles on face that come from heart...

Life become very buzy in this year... so fast had almost pass the 1st quarter of the year... i know someone wil buzz me for the quarterly report soon...

I am at my 32/33th weeks now... another 7-8 wks to go.. as my previous records shown, i probably will deliver around 38th week .. yes.. always early 10-15 days ... which is good that i do not need to suffer for longer time... esp on the 3rd trimester of pregnancy, which we not able to sleep well, only can sleep side way and need to change the position frequently... make sure our 'action' are always slow down .... walk like 'duck' haha... phew~~ another 7-8th wks for me...

oh yes.. need to congrates my fren on his new born son...KM's corner sure rushing up and down for this 2 days to settle down everything...

Had spent few nites staying in KL Legend last week as the member entitlement going to expire if not use it and I cannot travel far, quite funny ya.. just to chk in the hotel and stay for few nites.. kekek.. but my kids enjoy as they having lots of fun in the swimming pool, it's her1st time to go into swimming pool, this gal never fear on water... i still remember her brother will stick to us when we first brought him to swimming pool... but the sister just walked around and have fun herself ... brave gal !

there are still something going on for these few wks before i really can settle down to wait for my 'new born' to arrive.. just pray hard to hope everything going well !!

YES! I had my monthly checkup on last Friday, and Dr Ang told me my bb will probaby a baby girl :) Actually we had 'guess' the bb might be a gal as we still not able to 'check the sex' on 4 mths + pregnancy, normally if bb boy, you will able to know very fast....

My hub first thing to tell me after the checkup is "Mmm... now we got 2 gals ya... gals will be more 'sam pat', and hse will be more noises next times."...hahah 'sam pat' is the word he described ya... :p

For me, gal or boy doesnt matters, but is quite good to have 2 dottas at home... which can train them to help this mama to do the housework next time. In addtionals, hse will be more 'warm-up' (not sam pat) with the noises made by my gals... Sisters can share a lot of thing together, such as shopping, facial, and much more stuffs... Sons normally turned up to be more quiet at home esp when they grow up...

Just 1 thing , my son disappointed with it. But his super-mama brains-wash him a bit... keke Now he is o k with another new little sis .... what i tell him??

mama: Hao, mama stomach bb is very good, she listened what her brother tell her... 'let the dr to chk clearly on the bb sex' on mama checkup time... but , she got no 'chiu chiu' , is a gal... you got another little bb sister...

Hao: mm.. but I still prefer a di di ....

mama: never mind... you can get your 'lau po' (wife) to deliver you a lot of 'chiu chiu' bb next time ya... your little sis very sayang you leh.. you got to take care her well....

He seems to accept and no more 'bug' me anymore.....:)

Recently i am busy with something else. Thus, i temporarily give up my chef tasks at home. And of coz 'ta pao' will be the way to get food for dinners after works....

1st wk - still o k...

2nd wk - start to feel bore on outside food as is not as yummy as my own cooking (thick skin ya.. but is true mah)... those food stores that near to my house or my office or my hub's office area.. there are of coz some nice food, but it cannot be we repeat the same food over and over again... i realy miss my own cooking ... my ginger chinese wine chic, my assam fish , my marmic prawn, tomato prawn, super yummy soups... veges... 'black sour chicken', herb-steamed chick, chic legs with mushroom, thai fried rice, portugese fried rice... how I miss them!!! Even a onion fried eggs is good enuf for me to serve a bowl of rice.. hehe.. no worry, i will get all these after 3rd wk of Jan...kekek..

what I had done for previous year? really got to sit down and think...haha.... cannot really remember... yes... there are some good news..

1. My mom malaysian citizenship finally get approved. She born in JB, she got her 12 yrs old IC when she studied in Spore. Government issued her a red IC and my grandpa just not aware of the meaning of red IC. We been applied the citizenship since 2004 and finally approval letter is issued by end of Dec 2009, yes it took about 5 yrs +. I brought my parent to putrajaya to collect the letter, pay RM300 (dunno for what) and made the 'sumpah'. phew~~~ next step is gonna to wait for them to print the cert ... 2-3 more mths periods of times... willbe informed via mail, then only will proceed to change her IC to blue.

2. Surprise bonus gift. My 3rd kid. Still do not know the gender, should be know by Friday, next checkup. My son is excited, my dotta still dunno what is that.. haha..so another new family member will be added on this coming May, 2010.

3. My 2nd sis family had migrated to Australia. Quite sad ya.... will pay them a visit after I settle down with my new born and kids... probably end of next year i think .... Nowadays, we still able to 'chat' often via internet .... definately will miss them....

4. Changed new bb sitter. A very good new to my kids, finally i managed to find a good bb sitter for them.. quite struggled previously due to old bb sitter. Now, they got a lovely nanny and nice food.

5. Taiwan trip .Yes, we managed to go taiwan by mid of Nov 2009.

6. My immediately boss left, been work with him for more than 8 yrs.. quite sad on his leaving..

.... cannot think of any others... but sometime no news is good news ... Wish everyone happy always and be healthy, which I always think is the most important thing for every one to have that. Happy New Year 2010 !!!

today is the chrismas day in 2009. And today also quite heavy hearted for me... as my sis family will fly to australia .... yes... migrating to autralia...

Even we stay not near, I stay in Equine park area, as she stayed in sg.buloh.. But still we still able to contact each other via phone... can reach each other anytime... Means now my only relative in KL will be gone... sob sob **

They will taking 12 am flight later and just chat over phone with her ... wish her all the best and settle down there asap...

Might pay her a visit next year dpends on condition.... as my 3rd kid will delivered mid of May ... recently quite busy and try not to think much on their leaving... but now... really can feel the pains ...... bye and take care sis.......

Chai Booi

What is ''Chai Booi" (hokkien) / "Choi Kiut" (Cantonese)? KL ppl called it as 'Suen Lat Choi" (Sour Spicy Vege). Is my favourite dish, actually is my family members favourite dish... yummy...

I just got 1 pot of "Choi Kiut" delivered from Taiping, cooked by my eldest sister, delivered by my 2nd sister while she took a trip back to Taping last week. As she borrowed my car , so she got to drop by my house on the day she returned to KL. hehehe.... So what I did is called my eldest sis... (she is a great chef). And asking what is she cooking on sunday and I want to ta pao...kekeke... Suppose to just ta pao a bit and bring back for me. But my sis took the whole pot back for me and they had dinner in my hse when they reached KL....

Choi Kiut is actually cooked by leftover food (meat/vege), together with the 'Kai choi' and assam skin and assam water, and dried chili. You got to make sure the leftover food is enough, else the taste will be not that tasty. Even I know how to cook this dish, but my eldest sis cooking is still the best for all of us!!! Everytime we go back hometown, our sweeet sweet hometown, we will ordered 'food' from my eldest sis and go to her hse to enjoy it... wahahaha...

In my family, my mom normally will cook the 'choi kiut' on 3rd day of CNY, as there will be leftover food on eve and 2nd day of CNY. Everyone of us will holding big bowl of 'choi kiut' with white rice... yes... big bowl of 'choi kiut' for each. And of coz I need to help my mom to clean the 'vege' that she used to buy a lot of that... One of my best fren, will come visit me on 3rd day and she will definately ask me 'your mom got cook choi kiut today??" ... haha.. YES, she is having lunch with me with the Choi Kiut.. we will chat and enjoy the choi kiut... not sure she still miss my mom choi kiut or not, as she been to spore for quite some years and we have not meet up since few yrs ago :(

In facts, nowadays a lot of people had forgottan their tradisional food and how to cook it. Especially the young generation, I will try my best to learn all those 'food' and transfer to my daughter or 'dotta in law' next time..(think too much, my son only 4 yrs old, coming to 5 next yr)...hahaha...

Had pass the terrible morning sickness period...
Hao is hoping to get a 'didi' as he said he already had a 'mei mei'...

mm... last chkup gynae said cannot scan on any 'balls' yet... might be gal.. I told hao this might be mei mei, as dr cannot see the 'chiu chiu'..hahah... guess wat.. this big brother tell me 'di di cover the chiu chiu mah, like this ".... hahahahaha...

when i annouced this new family member to hao.. i still remmeber his reaction.. he opened his eyes big and say ' I want I want, I wan di di'... he very happy to welcome to new family member :)

luckily my morning sickness just gone before i go taiwan ... next blog will blog about our Taiwan trip... :)

Last whole week was quite tough for my dear princess , Qin...

Last saturday is Lantern day, we went back to their 'ah ma' hse for lunch... Big day mah... mid nite her body start hot.... she got FEVER!!

Sunday morning, we brought her to see Serdang dr, the clinic not opened. :( We went to Puteri to look for another dr.. Get her medicine ,etc.

Monday monring, the fever seems no drop... and is quite 'hot'.. we sent her to SJMC, her fever is 38.5.. nurse get dr to get her fever medicine via 'buttock', as still quite long queue for her turn yet.. Hubby went out at 7am to get the Number, stil got No.9 as jam in Sunway area... we get her to test on H1N1 as well... poor gal.... she cried loud when dr put the long tube via her nose ..

Monday, Tues, Wed... Fever is on and off, noon is ok, no fever... mid nite the fever is back.. No matter how, we going to try another matter, Thurs after work, we brought her to see 'Kuan Yin' to check... 'Kuan Yin' told us she over played and shocked herself and her tooth is coming out, so fever came...etc.

Friday mornig, still fever, this time we brought her to see Dr Lim in Sunway Medical, he is quite a nice dr... and there is no long queue ... we also wanted to check for 'Denggi' as well... phew~ Finally.... Dr Lim gave her another type of antibiotic, blood test result shown she is ok ... After 1st medication from Dr Lim, her fever gone and she is recovered !!! She still cough, but at least no more fever since last friday noon....

My kids never been fever more than 3 days, this time really scared us a lot!! Suspect is H1N1, then thought of 'Denggi'... or kena 'scared' by 'anything'... apa apa macam we also go try... Finally we can sleep well....

Oh ya... we got to dropped our langkawi trip which suppose on Last Friday evening and back on sunday.... how to go with my dotta conditions??? Money wasted but no choice, kids healthy is more important than anything!!!

p/s: I got to lied to Hao that, Uncle not able to 'drive' the aeroplane as sky too dark and scared raining, uncle will call mama when he is going to 'drive' the aeroplane and take us... ok ? {cannot think of any excuse and hao seems to accept it. :) }

New BB sitter

Had been disappeared for quite some times... same old excuses... BUSY BUSY BUSY...

There are alot of thing happened recently......

Today is the 2nd day for my kid to adapt in new enviroment (new bb sitter).

There are some thing that we not comfortable with old bb sitter, so decided to change to a new bb sitter, suppose started 1 sept, but due to new bb sitter went thru an operation, so better give her enuf rest before start taking the new task..

The new aunty stayed quite near to my hse, just few row behind... currently she is taking care of One 4 yrs old boy (same age with Hao).. the boy stayed there day and nite. He went to pre-school in the morning as well (diffrent school with Hao). Good thing is mornign session, aunty and my gal will be 1 to 1... compare to prevoius one is 1 to 3 in the morning. ....

1st day
Qin: she cried when i left, expected. Thinking she might need about 1 wk time to adjust herself with the new aunty... I called to check at 1 pm + .. according to aunty..

She refused to drink water and drink milk, so aunty let her played with her, bath her, let her take nap.... feed her porridge (she finsihed all: GOOD GIRL). refuse to 'pee' in 'potty' :(

She shouted and smiled out when see the brother (hao) back from school to this aunty hse, she let the other 4 yrs old boy to feed her water, she drink tat.. (funny ah, aunty said Qin bully her onli).. she played with the aunty's dotta (lower six girl) after she back from school around 2pm +, but she refused the new aunty to carry her or even looked at her....she will cried loud (terrible girl)... phew~~

Hao:
we will thinking he might cried, surprisingly.... he told transporter to fetch her to aunty 'mei' hse today and behave very good boy!! Aunty mei let him cool down first after back, then bath, then prepare his lunch, he ate himself and tell the aunty the food is nice! play a while, told the aunty he wan to sleep... so aunty make him a glass of milk (he only drink milk in bb sitter hse)... he finished and sleep.... wake up... look for the aunty (she half way cooking)... she asked is he hungry? He said yes... so she gave him soem biscuit to eat first..... around 6pm, she get them to eat the dinner... Mommy proud of you boy!!

Hao been sent to bb sitter for about 1 yr + (started aug 2008). Until today, he is on and off asking the same thing.

Hao : Mama, can i go back my own house after school? Plss.. just 1 day only lar...

I been telling him for so many times, he cannot go home after school due to :
1. Mama/papa not at home, no body take care of him.
2. Mama/papa need to work, so cannot be at home ...
3. Mama/papa need to earn $$ ..... etc

so recently he change his asking style....

Hao: Mama, why my fren oh... mama/papa go fetch them go back home, why you no come to fetch me one??

Hao : Mama, today LiYan (his classmate) told me that ... 'hao, your mama will come fetch you lar'.. you will fetch me go back my own hse rite, mama??

so sakit hati to hear all those, why my kids so 'meng fu'...

Recently go a lot of new stuff over here....cut my hair short short and my gal too...

now Qin is more like a handsome little fellow than a pretty girl.... recently i had a lot of stuff...

1. lot of works in ofis.
2. lot of works at home (as my mom back to hometown again after the checkup)

Hao 1st Sport Day

is about 2 wks ago already...

This is Hao 1st sport day.. this boy cry cry wan me to be with him.. So this 'big mommy' sit in BLUE TEAM with the son.... ekkeke... He willing to participate all kind of games with the condition i must sit there wait for him... (fainted)

He played spoon with ball, running, kangaroo jumping... hehe.. Teacher gave kids the pedal... Hao so so happy :)

2009 cameron trip

its been quite sometimes no blog and my fren start complaining...hehehe.

Cameron trip... my frens will say 'AGAIN??"

Yes.. me and my hubby like to go cameron compare to Genting... hehe.. To me, havig steamboat in cameron such a great activitiy for me... cold place with hot food.. yummy!! Too bad our favourite steamboat shop closed liao :( Now is Star Buck at Tanah Rata. I loved this shop as is cheap and provide a lot of vege (yes.. i love vege so much).

No choice, we go for another choice.. which is much more exp.. After brinchang, toward equotarial, further more... there is a shop call 'Water Cress Restorant'.. the enviroment of coz is better, but price also exp... RM 25 per head and minimum 2 set. Food and environment nice just exp compare to old shop. I dont like brinchang one which i tried once... first row of the main road... exp and not enuf food..haha.. i remmbeer we (with my fresn) got to eat the mee hon and egg only got the feel of 'a bit full' :(

This is Qin 1st time to Cameron, yes.. she very enjoyed it... and Hao as well (should be 3rd time to cameron)... we spending 4 days 3 nites there.. as for family with small kids... i can say it just 'ngam ngam ho'.. for ppl with no kids, might say it 'too many days' liao...kekeke....

So fast, my lil princess had turned 1 yr old.... Initially, I had planned a Mc D Birthday Party for her... and invites my frens and their kids (those are my son's frens hahha) ... Due to the H1N1, we decided to cancel the Mc D party and had a small celebration at home.. Just invite the relative and my sis family....

Compare to her bro, she more faster in picking up new stuff... yday we found out, she can hold a 'pen' properly and draw draw in her brother magnecitc board!!! Yes, is true... I should video it down next time.... :)

Recently no time to blog :p

We went to Melaka on 20 June ... to attend a house warming there.... Just jalan jalan around.. since my mom never been to the 'red houses'... and eat the chicken rice and chen-nui.. I had bought 2 big pcs of this multi-layer cakes.... Mille Crepe at Nadeje Patisserie Cafe, Melaka.

Hao had did some hand-work for his Father... hehe.. but he claims is his one, not papa one..

My birthday celebration is only EAT EAT EAT!!!! {aiyo, keep saying keep fit, 1 side pula keep eating :p}

My col belanja me this 'choi choi sui' near my office, too many choices till dunno which to choose...

As usual, me and hubby tok 1 day off on wkday, so we can enjoy our food and go pakTo for my bday celebration.... After fetch our kids to bb sitters.. here start our journey....

Bfast: Old Town in Puteri.

Movie : 11 am in 1U, (catch some time in popular bookstore before movie started)

Lunch : super yummy and cheap Crab lunch at Aman Puri, 'Tak Fook' (as pic shown)

Facial at puteri..hehe... after facial already 6.30pm.. Did a super 24K Gold facial treatment...

Here come the food...

2. Tau Fu with mushroom : dunno wat it called.

3. My salted egg Crab RM 22 per plate (1 kg)

4. Chili paste crab (RM 20 @ 1kg)

oh ya.. and 1 soup ... 2 of us ordered so much :P (end up ta pao 1/2 of the salted egg back for dinner)
Food is nice and cheap....

p/s: Hubby still owe me bday gift (coz i still cannot think of any gift that i want, any suggestion?)

Nice Food - The Garden

Last sat, go to mid valley to buy something... found this cafe...mm.. near the escalater, in front of Isetan entrance, LG...open-concept ... the food quite nice.. oh.. is beside Mid Valley = The Garden.. hehe.. if not mistaken, is called 'Pastis' at ground floor... let me go back check my receipt first..

My son order this strawberry cakes.. is really delicious... the cake is very soft ... the chips and salad is appetizer they give.. (did not chk my bill on how much they charged on that, should not be free)

We ordered this.... about 16.80, 2 ppl servings.. this is 1/2 of the lengh.. is actually cut into 4 portion.. with roasted chic breast, bacon, egg,etc.

This is 1 portion of it... 3 of us quite full after took this. Ops.. i forgot to snap down the drinks... yes.. Hao ordered that.. strawberry juices....

this is one of their 'design cake'... which you actually can order.... the label written "2 kg and above .. From RM 450" :p expensive!!!

My son already bore with the 'cutter', so i got another set of this nice nice 'cucuk'...hehe.. fried egg and rolled it up... decor with those 'cucuk' stuff... yes.. he LOVE IT!

I got the recipe on the 'creamy source' from one of the blog... it really taste YUMMY!!! that you will 'jilat' the plate...haha.. source taste like those 'cook' in italian restorant type... believe me or not, u try it out!! refer to : cookingMonster

My colleague, Rain bought me a box of fresh prawn from her KK trip.. I used to cook 'Marmi Prawn' (cooked on my bday) and this tomato source prawn... is fresh and delicious...!!

On the actual day of Dumpling festival, i bought some 'dumpling' from pasar malam, fried a plate of vege and get my hubby to ta pao 'bak kut teh'... get next door brother to have 'small celebration'

It's been a long time no meet up my 'chi mui'.... always cancelled or postphoned due to last minute stuff... Finally we catched some times and had in Ah Mun hse....

My son very happy playing with the 2 jie jie ....mm.. 1 thing, they wan to celebrate my bday ... earlier... aiyo, very pai say... so 'mm' liao... still singing bday song, make a wish and blow the candles ....hehe.....

But really having funs meeting with them, my son spent his wonderful noon with his 2 frens... Xin Yee and Bao Yee :)

I cooked less nowadays..... got some leftover rice, i normally fried it for my hubby as dinner, and myself I LOVvvvvvEEEE FRIED RICE!!!!

Fried rice with herb soup (with dark chic) - recently stop buying pork rib :p

I ate tomato fried rice in Alamanda, Black Crayon Cafe... i love it... so i tried at home, witih different ingredient.. it turn up to be quite YUMMY!!!

Fried Yee mee, not sure post this before.... this 'aunty' a bit 'memory lost' recently ..kekek.

Does this looks nice??? Is a pancake with raisin on top.. and with my super CUTTER for the shapes ... i tried.. it taste not bad.. my son said 'mama...mm.. not nice... ' and he dont wan to eat ... *sob sob* {i put all inside a container and ask his father to bring to ofis and FINISH it}

Recently very busy again... no time to blog .... even got more to note down... do a quick one..hehe..

Ah Ma, Hao and pei yee jie jie (cousin sister).. We visited ah ma on 2 wks ago.. the day before mother's day + visit the new born (full month) - hubby's 2nd bro's 2nd dotta... Pei Yee Jie Jie's sister... so get my mil to a nearby restorant to treat her good lunch to celebrate mother's day.

Sunday, actual day, Hub belanja me eat at TGI, IOI mall... he told me TGI not nice and i always complained i never been to TGI (everytime we wan to go, he said the food not nice) ... so this time die die also insist wan to go... actually ... the food really NOT NGAM our taste... thsi fellow said 'see, i told you, u not believe me..' me still wan to urgue like 'Maybe we ordered wrong food'..hahhaa

I got a free flower from the IOI mall ppl... and my son keep asking 'why the aunty give you the flower, yr bday ??"

My sweetie pie... Ke Qin... kelian she cannot eat any solid food, just drink milk ya.... father bought her some kid biscuit to bite bite...

Finally got 1 set of it (cookies cutters) from IOI new wing.. 5 dollar shop, all imported from Japan (dunno true or not)..

hehe.. this 'helper' really help me a lot ...

Long time no post my home-made meals...

recent cook less and spend times on tidying up and cleaning hse...
here we go:

Frog porridge (田鸡粥) -田鸡，ginger,wolfberries
Got this when i go to wet market in serdang.. RM10 per plate about 4 frogs ... I heard this 田鸡 is very good for kids... so just cook a pot of porridge for them ..

Luo Han Gua with Sea Coconut, red dates ,蜜枣 and rock sugar..
I used to cook this during wkend... esp recently the weather so hot and Luo Han Guo believe can reduce phlegm 痰

My son and hubby favourite.. actually i dont really like it.. i took most of the brocoli to eat only..haha

Assam Fish & vege
I use boneless fish .. salt and flour to marinate... 过过油 (fried in hot oil for a while) {this will make the meat more soft and pre-cook , thus u no need to over cook it.. u know overcook fish meat is very 'hard'}
- chili paste cube (home-made from fren)
- tomato, longbeans, lady finger, onion, etc (watever vege u like)
- Limau 'lipis'/nipis juice (dunno how to spell)
Believe me.. this is yummy!!!

so fast... my gal already 9 mths +.. coming to 10 mths....

this gal, yes... bad temper... good that will not kena bully easier next time... she now know who to manja... whever sometime tends to scold her.. if the ppl sayang her around, she will pretend cry... just open mouth big big and make the cry sounds.. with no tears... kekeke...

Salmon Fish Head Soup

I had long time no cook this soup... as my house Jusco no sell salmon fish head... Last week I went to IOI jusco... purposely check this up ... YES, got it !!

This soup is introduced by one of my fren... she said she cooked this almost every wk when she work in US ... as salmon fish head there is very cheap.. something like USD1 per head ... this very nutrious (salmon full of omega 3 ..heheh) and really taste good ...

As requested by my fren..hehe.. here the recipe... very simple, as usual :p

Ingredients:
1. Salmon fish head - 1 (clean it)
2. Ginger - few pcs (sliced it)
3. Carrot - 1 (cut )
4. Onion - 1 (cut)
5. Tomato - 3 -4

Boil the water. Put in all ingredient and once boil, slow down the fire, continue cook for 1-2 hrs. Salt for taste. Done.

p/s: is somehting like ABC soup.. but the taste different, as got salmon 'taste'...

I bought 'Lagsana' from ColdStorage (Alamanda).. thinking is a 'ready-eat' hahaa.. thought put in oven/microwave ... ~~~ ding ~~~ DONE.

Later found out.. ya.. is Lagsana... but is the 'skin' only..... :(

Bought liao, wat to do... die die got to cook... then 1 day i prepare the souce (spagettie source with chopped onion,carrots..etc) of coz the Cheese ....

my son so happy to help me prepare this... i applied the source, he put the layer up and applied cheese ....and once done.. he so proud to tell the father ...

Hao :"PAPA, i cook this lagsana for you to eat.... you know how to cook or not?"
Papa: "Wow.. you so pandai ah... i dunno how to cook woh"
Hao :"Why you dunno how to cook lagsana? your ma ma no teach you ah?"
Papa: 'Ya lor, my mama no teach me leh, she dunnno cook this "
Hao : "Oh..............." {sounds look down the grandma why dunno how to cook this..:p}

p/s: worst thing is .. i got to repeat prepare/eat the same dish for 2 days... :( This fellow so shiok to prepare and eat.. everyday tell me he wan to cook and eat lagsana... someore tell 'I cook for you ah.. mama"... {duno who going to prepare and wash ???}

Hubby got 2 free voucher to eat Abalone, means we had 2 free abalone to eat... got from his company annual dinner... going to expire by end of April 09. So we had arrange 1 day and go with his col then.....Ah Yat @ PJ Sec 13. We ordered a set for 4 ppl and the free Abalone...

At first plan to go in Sunday mroning, but Hubby got something on... so change to Sat evening... so so so HOT!!!!!!!

My MIL so 'ngam' that come to visit you, so we bring her to see also....

We are sweating and waiting.... suppose start from 5.30... waited till 6.30pm + only we saw the balloons is up......

Yes... hao said he like the Orange balloons.... This boy so happy with all the balloons.... dancing on the streets and singing.....

Her sis cannot tahan the hot... keep 'lai kai', is really hot ...

Stones at Gallbladder

I had my full medical checkup 1-2 yrs ago... and found i got 2 'stones' in my gallbladder (膽生石),
that time is about 0.35 cm and 0.58 cm... Dr said cannot do much... said is very 'normal' to have 'stones'... just hope it will not increase till big that need to 'cut' it out... ya.. cut the whole gallbladder out...

2 yrs later... i done my another checkup... found the stones increased to 1.38cm and 1.01 cm.. dr said normally last time ppl just think if reach 2cm need to cut out.. but nowadays 'ppl' dont care and unless it start pains....

This round really scare me... as it increase so much.. and this dr is not so responsible coz after i bring back the ultrasounds screening and check.. it actually got 3 stones.. there is 1 small one.. the dr did not mentioned at all... the way he explain my repor is like he very rush for time, not even give allow me to interrupt him while he go thru the report 1 by 1 - tok super fast (as i wan to check my tyroid status with the blood test report) .... ei... dunno wat dr is tat.. :( I will not do any checkup in this lab anymore!!!

I had serveyed and asked around... to find out any solution!!! but too bad... i just try the traditional detox program from one of my fren's mom... will try to do it once a month.. Try for 6 times = 6 mths and go for another followup checkup on my 'stones'.... Wish me lucks ya....

Exhausted.....

These 2 weeks really really exhausted....

Hao had his chic pop .... (get from his school mates)... prev he got his chic pop vaccination on 1 yrs + ... so not much pops out... but he got lots of red dots out on 5th day, all focus on his fingers, toas, etc.... ya... he got 2 in 1... chic pop + Hand,foot mouth Disease (HFMD) :(

Qin got her high fever on 2nd day of her bro chic pop... scared us... rush to SJMC - Dr Khoo... long long queue (Fri).. we are No. 17. Luckily she not infected by the chic pop virus... she got ear infections... that caused the high fever.... doc said she is 'boiling'... so put the 'bullet medicine'... to 'cool down' faster... her fever gone on sat noon... phew~~~

after son recovered... 1 wk +... Hubby kena last the 'Coxsackie' virus.... it will rarely attack adult as we got strong enough immune system to defeat that... but maybe recently his body is weak.. so can u imagine .... why i said I am EXHAUSTED!!!!

Hao: 3 yrs old and 2 mths +

- he already used to in bb sitter house, no more crying... always play with the bb sitter's son

- no bring his 宝贝pillow to school already... (started 2 days ago)

- in 4 yrs old class... still with some of his 'old fren' (prev year class)

- emotional not so stable towards his sister.. sometimes go sayang, kiss and hug the sister so tight.. sometime just push away the sis when she near by.... wondering..

- he likes to sing, dance and drawing...

- he like a 管家工 , every nite will go down to chk the father, make sure he change his sleepCloth, make sure he sleep there... and ask the father 'u sleep ah, dont go play with computer ah' ..(hehe... goooooodddd!!)

Qin : 7 mths +

- start to eat porridge

- super duper 'wai sik' 贪吃

- start to show temper (bad temper girl)

- stick to father than mommy :(

- can call 'papa' ... but not 'ma ma'... :(

yes... Qin now start using the bb walker .... problem is the brother 'hao' also wan to use... yes... after Qin use a whlie, hao will come and tell 'mama, bring meimei out, my turn now"

Qin is not a lady-like girl... she will keep on kick you if her toes reach you ... she will put her legs on top on yr stomach if she sleep beside you... open her legs big big... aiks... girl, you are 'lady'...

is not on actualy day... Valentine Celebration....

Get a day that both of us just slow down our steps... get to watch a movie in cinema (not sure how long no step into cinema since got kids.. ya.. that's yr life after got kids ya...)...

Simply get a restorant to eat slowly... (w/o rushing to fetch kids...etc)...

This restorant not bad.. good quality in food and price reasonable.. (consider cheap in this location).. A Thai restorant located in 2nd floor on midvalley : Amarin Heavenly Thai.

We ordered a set lunch (quite cheap with quality food, a green colour with rice, dessert and drinks), ala carte : pineapple fried rice and appetizer (mango salad with ei.. dunno call wat :p)

of coz got gift...from hubby... ^o^....

Been long time no blog about Qin, my dotta.... my little chubby cuties.. :)

Today ngam ngam is her 7th month....

Can see she is bad temper... now.. whever you take away the stuff she is holding, she will cry out ... whatever thing that near to her, she will use her hands to take it.... i am sure later she will 'cheong' stuff with her brother... :p

Wanted to get her new bed/playpan in her bb sitter hse, as their existing 'rocker' no longer suit her...

cried in school ... on 1st day in Class 4. mommy asked at night.

Mommy: Hao, why you cry today? other kids also got cry right ? (toking about new students in class 3 )

Hao : nope... mommy, others ppl no cry lar... only me alone cry ... (like very proud, fainted).

Hao looked at mommy, suddenly said

mommy dont let Hao take so many sweet, ask him to eat properly...

Choi sam with garlic oil...
This is the normal dish i will cook every week... just boil water, put in the vege... take out and pour some garlic with oil... with soya source... that's it. Simple and healthy!!

Spagetti
As normal, will buy the Prego source... normally i will add in fresh tomato, put whatever ingredients i like into the source to boil... and of coz brocole as vege...

Vege soup
cooked with ikan bilis soup and just throw in the 'yuen choi' and wolfberries... add in some salt.. finished.
I love this vege, not sure what called in English... so vege with soup hehe.. simple and fast.

Steam Chic with mushroom
i prefer my mum version, (with reddates,云耳) .... this one also not bad lar...
Chic, mushroom, wolfberries, soya source, sesame oil,chinese wine.. marinate the chic with the sources, throw all in and steamed...

Cooking Mama

My mum went back to taiping already... so me now back to Cooking Mama position...:p

so started from yday, i had start cooking my own dinner ... just simple one, with the shortest time i had and with the multi-task done at the same times... phew~~ not bad for the 1st day... lots more days to go ya....

Need to wake up early to prepare the material, so i can complete everything within 1/2 hr (cooking + washing) at nite, as i got not much time left after works... need to fetch the kids before 7.30 pm... wish me lucks...

oh ya.. i will post my food here as well..... hehe... dont have too high expectation ya... as long as can eat and no kena 'food poisoning' will do.... ^0^

this is hao actual Birthday...

I purposely took 1/2 day leave, after work, rush to Taman Desa to get the home made Jelly cake.. A barney cake... actually wanted to order Thomas as Hao is Thomas's fan.. but everytime i ask him, he told me he wan Barney cake... ok.. fine... hubby said just go ahead with what he wants...

after rushed back and putinside frdige, fetch Popo to Hao school.. now put him there for 1/2 day care instead of fullday in bb sitter hse...

he so surprised when saw me.... dunno how to react... start from 'mmm.. mommy'.. like wanted to cry.. then make sure i come to fetch him, he fast fast took his bag, his water bottle, busy wearing his socks and shoes.... hahah.. super fast... his teachers and frens come over.. and one of his teacher know is his bday today, so all sing bday song to him... he just smile and mouth busy telling teachers 'this is my mama, she come to fetch me, my ma ma'.. hands busy wearing shoes... hahah..

then bring him to jusco... playing bowling, basket ball, lunch and go back take nap.. at nite only let him show him the barney cake.... super happy for him today !!!

Zoo...

Hubby been asking for so many times that bring Hao to Zoo, hehe... my mum keep saying 'small kids dont go zoo lar.. dirty lar.. this and tat'... this father so benggang to hear that..

finally... last wk... we decided to bring him to zoo.... before the nite, told him can see the real tiger, real lion...etc... he said tiger and lion no good, he wan to see elephants.. hhaha... ok.. fine...

website show zoo open at 8 am.. we late... reached there around 8.50 am.. found out website tipu one.. is actually open at 9 am... so timing just nice, lot of parkings....

Entrance : RM 15 (3 yrs and above)

Frankly speaking, a bit disappointed on Zoo Negara... compare to Taiping Zoo, entrance RM4 and much more animals to see... this one big Cage but onli 1-2 animal inside... if u got chance, drop by Taiping Zoo, is at the area of Taiping Lake Garden...

hao go near and have a look and turn back :" let's go, died one..."
(turtle very big + not moving + whole body grey color, he thought mati one, not interested..)

Deer area

i cannot find male lion, only female lion.. but to hao.. "LION" should have more more hair type (male).. so he pointed to the statue and tell 'hi hi lion... ' and not interested ot look at the real lion (female)...

hehe.. my gal no wear skirt before.. u must be saying 'ah? why not'?? ...

whenever i wan to wear her skirt, my mum will mumbling' aiyo, still small, wear skirt very ma fan lar.. sleeveless one... later cold lar... this and tat'...

So all the skirts(bought by the aunties) kept in the cabinet.... today i took out and let her do some fashion show to try which she still can wear (she ate more than the bro .... 5th month : 7.8kg now.. ) most of the skirts very tight when i try... will spend 1-2 days to shop for kids CNY cloth this mths....

now is school holiday and my mil 'out of sudden' come to visit us with her another grandotta (the one she taking care of) ...

so thinking since she not be here during Hao bday.. i decided to buy a cake and celebrate with this 3 yrs old boy .. since his grandma and cousin sis is here....

He so happy when saw the bday cake in the fridge and keep sing happy bday song and tell me wan to cut the cake..haha....

Ya... yes.... PD trip again and go to PD Legend Water chalet. ... we go there so frequent is we have 7 nite voucher every year... So anyone interested, pls let me know, i can sell to you with cheaper price...hahhaha..
