Bins
Today I would like to talk about the Bins... Back to malaysia, I only know the 'rubbish bin truck' will come to collect like 3 times per week? I think so.. I just need to throw all the rubbish in the 'cement box' under my mailbox ...and make sure the 'bin's door' is closed, to avoid any dogs/cats scratching the rubbish around. That's it.
After we moved in our new house (a second hand house). We saw 3 big bins, RED,GREEN and YELLOW inside our garage. And we need to 'study' what to put in and how to 'throw' our rubbish.. We Failed to throw our rubbish on the 1st time.. hahah... funny ya... slowly we find out that.
RED - normal wastes.
GREEN - all related to garden.. trees, leaves, sands, stones...etc
YELLOW - of coz is recycled wastes...
a. Truck only come to collect once a week. And you need to find out from the council/ neighbor which 'day' the truck come.
b. Every week only 2 bins pulled out the road side. (Yes, you need to pull out the bins by yrself to the road side). GREEN and YELLOW bins will take turn, red always.
c. Of coz you need to pull back yr own bins after rubbish 'cleared'
Another thing... if in Malaysia, what will you do if u see the rubbish truck?? cover yr nose and try to go far far away right? And the waste collector? they will 'hopping' up and down from the trucks, collecting the wastes and throw to the 'truck'.. And i not seeing any 'waste collector' over here.. A big truck came... park at the side of the bins... like a transformer .. '2 robot hands' from the trucks ... kind of hold the bin and go towards the trucks and 'bang bang bang' the bins .. the rubbish all out and throw in the big truck container... the 'robot hand' will put back the bins ... and truck move forward, continue the 2nd bins... and so on... easy and clean ya? The waste collector/driver just need to sit inside the car and control the 'robot' ..hehe.. easy peasy lemon squeezy .. (learn this from Hao) .
Wondering why Malaysia government not purchase this kind of waste trucks which is so useful and provide a more healthy environment to the people... rather than go purchase some super expensive and useless 'stuffs'... u know what i meant :p

Good sharing.. looks like Aus has such a wonderful high tech "rubbish car" (we called it sampah车here, haha!). U forgot one thing, after the rubbish collector "tuang" the sampah, they will throw ur rubbish bin like no body business, that's why the bin will get "break" after a while. And worst case, we got to "lock" the bin to prevent "missing". Haha!
true.. now bin also need to lock to prevent missing ... terrible...ei..yr hse using the rubbish 'bin' one ah? last time when i was in KL.. double storey hse all no need use the bin one.. we throw in the our 'bin' (cement box under the mailbox pillar)..
